Proxalto Lebensversicherung AG specialises in predominantly traditional, guarantee-based and unit-linked life insurance policies. As of year-end 2023, its portfolio comprised approximately 2.7 million policies with assets under management of around EUR 44 billion. In 2018, still under the name of Generali Lebensversicherung, Proxalto Lebensversicherung ceased writing new business and has since focused exclusively on existing customers and their needs. The company has been part of Viridium Group since April 2019.

Entis Lebensversicherung AG manages the portfolio of policies acquired from Protektor Lebensversicherungs-AG. As a voluntary rescue company for German life insurers, Protektor assumed the portfolio from Mannheimer Lebensversicherung in 2003. As of year-end 2023, Entis Lebensversicherung manages less than 0.1 million policies, with assets under management exceeding EUR 1 billion.

Heidelberger Lebensversicherung AG, founded in 1991,  specialises in retirement planning, surviving dependants’ support and risk planning products, with a focus on unit-linked products. As of year-end 2023, the company managed approximately 0.5 million policies with assets under management of around EUR 14 billion. Heidelberger Lebensversicherung ceased new business in 2014 and, as part of Viridium Group, has since focused exclusively on existing customers and their needs.

Skandia Lebensversicherung AG has been active in the provision of unit-linked products in Germany since 1991. As of year-end 2023, Skandia served about 0.2 million life insurance policies, with assets under management of more than EUR 5 billion. Since 2014, Skandia has exclusively focused on the needs of its existing customers.
